Internship Job Description

The candidate will assist AE staff with cultural resource data acquisition and management, and legal and technical analyses according to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Training Offered

The candidate will have the opportunity to expand and improve field and laboratory skills through participation in projects conducted according to federal, state and local cultural resource laws and regulations and will gain practical experience in the application of these laws through the methods and procedures of cultural resource management.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Other Requirements

The candidate should have a basic understanding of archaeological and/or historical terminology and at least rudimentary exposure to basic field and laboratory methods.  Completion of the Introduction to CRM (Ant 312) class is prefereed.  Proficiency with common software packages (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Paradox) also is needed.
