Longtime Office Assistant Karen Moro Retires
Last September, office receptionist Karen Moro retired after a 15-year career with the Social Sciences Department.
Moro was known for her cheerful and efficient approach to the many complex tasks involved in keeping the office running smoothly. She was the first face that students encountered when visiting the department — often with complicated questions about course substitutions, internship forms, or other problems. She consistently helped students calmly and with a smile, and she got to know many of them by name over the years.
Moro retired in order to spend more time with her children and, especially, a new grandchild. She will be greatly missed.
