Administrative Support Coordinator Carolyn Dentler Retires

Office administrative support coordinator Carolyn Dentler retired in December 2016 after serving the Cal Poly Social Sciences Department for 10 years (following a 10-year career at California State University Humboldt).

Dentler was liked and admired by staff, faculty and students. She will be greatly missed.

Before she left, Dentler received the 2016 Staff Outstanding Career Achievement Award. In the nomination for the award, faculty noted Dentler’s professional and obliging demeanor which allowed her to form trusted, reliable working relationships with staff, faculty and administrators in a multitude of positions and offices across campus. The department expressly benefited from her efficient and successful execution of department-related administrative business over the last 10 years.
