Internships Job Description
Agency provides wide array of community based services to families and children, including therapeutic foster care, emergency shelter, and crisis stabilization for children removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect; FCNI provides family support services, outpatient counseling, transitional housing for teens and young adults leaving foster care, school-based mental health services, mentor programs, and more. There are several roles for interns to work with children and families (average caseload 10 clients), in development, fundraising and capacities.
Interns work alongside Social Workers and Rehabilitation Specialists to provide direct support for youth and families impacted by trauma. The extensive supervision and training by FCNI enables interns to move into the field of human services with a solid foundation, enhanced resume and added insight into the types of services they may consider for their future career. This is a paid internship that is eligible for college credit.

Required Experience, Knowledge or Other Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program. Psychology, Child Development, Social Services majors preferred.
Must pass interview screening; Must pass through background check and references: LiveScan, drug test, health screen; Must provide DMV driving record; Must make 2-quarter commitment.
