Emily Nevitt

Camilla KaramanlisEmily graduated from Cal Poly in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Geography, a minor in Latin American Studies, and a minor in Graphic Communication. She is currently a UX researcher in New York City exploring the impact of technology on young people and how we can use human-centered design to build more inclusive, accessible tools for all.On her path to becoming a UX researcher, Emily worked as a digital consultant for various nonprofit and policy institutions, taught abroad in Southeast Asia, and earned a Master's in Digital Media Design for Learning from New York University where she subsequently conducted research for the Educational Communication and Technology Department. Emily is always eager to connect with current and/or prospective members of the Social Sciences Department and happy to discuss all things related to accessibility, education, technology, design, and more.Contact Information:
